About Bangus Valley
A huge open meadow ringed by forested hills near Kupwara, one of the biggest meadows in Kashmir and still little visited. It has a bowl of grassland with Lolab on one side and snow peaks beyond. The road is rough and is closed in winter, and it reopens after snow clearance in spring. It is a great place for camping and quiet walks.
