About Anjaneri
Believed to be Hanuman's birthplace, Anjani was his mother, hence the name. It is now a conservation reserve with fossil beds, and forms a broad plateau rather than a peak. The walk is gentle enough for families, with a temple and a small lake on top.
What to see and do
- Anjaneri Mata temple and the Hanuman birthplace shrine
- Plateau lake and grassland
- Fossil beds within the conservation reserve
- Jain caves on the lower slopes
